so how does the proximity alert sound? Is it a "beep" sound just like waht u'd hear before notification to make a turn? or, is it a distinctly different sound?

and i think the icon on the taskbar next to the clock should look like a purple pigeon..not a green dot and white square.

I'm not a big fan of the new purple pidgin with it's green dots. When someone's idle, it's blue and black idle icon looks like a handicapped sign. anyone know how to get the old icons back? or use the icons form ACCOUNTS...you'll see yellow guy for aim, Y for yahoo, butterfly for msn, lightbulb...

it took me 1 hour to wipe everything from the 15 gb hd. I did it twice by using the auto feature. Does this mean that it's pretty much unrecoverable before I take it to goodwill for donation?

I have a celeron 500 mhz desktop and 17" crt that's just collecting dust. I'm thinking about donating it. What program is most effective and wiping the hard disk and works quickly? Where should I donate it? Is there a good place to sell it? I'd prob wouldn't mind getting liek $20 for it.

i was wondering if any real benefit for 2 gb vs 1.5 gb (i.e. throw out the original 512mb and add 2 1gb sticks, or just add one 1 gb stick).
