i just ran SuperPi (8 mins and 23 secs for 32 mil digits after decimal ) and the processor was running at 3.7 GHZ (my small achievement) and it switched back to 1.6 GHZ when i finished.
So, thanks again.
Hi guys,
I have an Asus P8Z77 VLX motherboard and an Intel Core i5 3570K,
I accidentally enabled the EPU on the Asus AI Suite which
has reduced the VCore voltage to 0.925V as a result of which I
am now getting just 1.6 GHZ D: . I disabled EPU from the AI Suite but that didn't get rid of the...
I really appreciate all the input
I have decided to get a 27" monitor so I guess I will be going for the 7850.
Thanks for helping me reach a decision.
Looking forward to Crysis 1 on extreme and 2 with the hi-res pack. :P
Thanks for all your quick replies :)
Stretch the budget by how much exactly (for the 7850)
And i know my 5750 is more than sufficient for my current setup but i'm building two systems and the 5750 is going to go into my HTPC (the second system) and that's why i want to buy a new gfx card.

I bought an i5 3570K about 2 weeks back and even at idle it's running at 45-50 C (stock clocks). My question is if this is alright. I previously had an AMD Phenom x4 9550 running at a max of 35 C at full load.
Should i get an aftermarket cooler? or is the temperature ok?
Thanks
whoa whoa, why binomial distribution i suggest u use Poisson distribution as all binomial distributions tend to Poisson for large numbers (100,000)
and if u want 99.95% statistical quality control its best to opt for normal distribution (check out 6 sigma limits)
sorry for double posting ( dunno if its against the rules )
but i found out what was wrong
turns out one of the DIMM slots was not working i just removed the memory stick from that slot and voila it boots
thanx for all the help :D
i see u have an Asus maximus if u really are bent on saving some cash i suggest u exchange it for the much more humble MSI Z68 mobo(check reviews) it has uefi usb 3.0 not to mention military class components all within 200$
well it all depends on what sort of games you would like to play if they are gfx heavy then i suggest u keep ur rig as i feel it is more mainstream rather than high end, you have a 2600k which is awesome ivybridge is coming out next month and u will surely regret exchanging it for the i5 2500k.
