Floppy Drive & DVD Burner Operation Problems

I just encountered this same problem with my floppy drive this weekend in an Antec SLK3000-B case. The floppy drive worked out of the case, but not in the case. The problem was this: The front part of the case where the floppy drive slid through had a metal support tab/shelf. This support...

    Antec - Excellent support

I just purchased an Antec SLK-3000B. It has two latches on the side panel. The upper one worked fine, but the bottom one was a little flaky, and after a few uses, stopped latching. I called Antec on a Tuesday and received the replacement latch on Thursday (no charge, no shipping charge)...

    ATI X800XL Heatsink/cooler

I just bought an ATI brand Radeon X800XL. From pictures I'd seen in a couple of reviews, I assumed that the viewable surface of the cooler would have one of those fancy "monster" graphics on it. However, mine is plain aluminum. Also, the fan looks smaller than the pictures I'd seen. If you...

    ABIT AX8 finally available

I'm probably going to run it stock for awhile before I consider overclocking. And even then, I'll probably start with Abit's auto-overclocking options.

    Abit or Soltek?

I'm debating between two motherboards -- the Abit AX8 and the Soltek SL-K890Pro-939. Both have the necessary features for me. I haven't seen any reviews of the Abit board, but the Soltek reviews have been quite good. However, here's my questions: 1. Which vendor provides the best support...

    ASUS A8n-e Premium NForce 4

Yes, the A8V-E Deluxe looks good, too. It only supports 2 SATA drives, though, and I don't need wi-fi. I'll be starting out w/2 SATA drives, so that limits future expandibility without adding another PCI card. Adding a Zalman would be no problem, I suppose. Would that void the warranty?

    ABIT AX8 finally available

At that price, the board looks pretty good. From what I've read, the AV8 was a pretty good board, and this looks quite similar. If they've fixed the temp sensor problem, that would be great. The passive cooling is nice compared to their nForce4 offering. I sure wish some site would review it...

    ASUS A8n-e Premium NForce 4

Are you set on the nForce4 chipset? I've been looking around at all the offerings, and for various reasons, don't really like any of the non-SLI nForce4 offerings. I'm looking at the possibility of going with the Abit AX8. I know it's Via, but there's nothing that's a must-have for me with...

    ASUS A8n-e Premium NForce 4

If this picture is correct, there's no firewire (IEEE 1394), but there's a spot for it. Look at the right-most corner of the picture, by the last PCI slot -- there's a spot labeled IE1394 where a header would normally go. Also, right next to the parallel port, there's an empty area where the...

    ASUS A8n-e Premium NForce 4

Well if the EastLuna picture is correct (and it looks like it is), then it's got an active NB cooler.

    ASUS A8n-e Premium NForce 4

ATACOM reports it as being in stock now! Their website lists it, and I received email confirmation from them that it is in stock ($168.95 USD): Asus A8N-e at ATACOM (of course the picture shows the A8V-e) EastLuna expects availability on 3/15/2005: EastLuna coming soon items
