Forgot to mention, the later generation of 440BX2 MB's can take Slot 1 PIII upto 800/850Mhz.

You are out of luck, only the later generation motherboards from Intel will support the PIII. Towards the back of the MB where the AGP slot is there is a bar code with a number on it. You can check the number against the list on Intel's website. Check under the PIII Archived motherboards list...
