Well, realtime raytracing might be feasible many years in the future; it would take an inhuman modern array to render a playable raytraced scene.

I was wondering if anybody could point me towards a 2x2GB RAM kit that would function with a Toshiba Satellite X205-S9800; I know the A215-S5802 is finnicky with some. My model has an Intel Mobile GM965 chipset, if that matters.

I'm something of a noise freak; I love my Accelero X2 on my X1800XL. I'll e upgrading sometime for Vista, and I'll want a DX10 card. I can't seem to find any info on what heatsinks will actually mount the 8800GTS. Case is a Centurion 5, if any of the HSF's have space issues.

I switched to some Omega Drivers and it still happens, although to a lesser extent. I think I'll pick up a slot cooler to go in under my GPU. Strange how it doesn't glitch when running more demanding programs like 3DMark05, though.

When I play SP on my X1800XL (latest official drivers - 5.13), I get artifacts and garbled parts of the screen after a short period. However, this does not happen on MP (which I think is somewhat more demanding). It does not occur when I fire up America's Army, either. Help? edit: It didn't...

Yes. I found an included Promise driver diskette, loaded the drivers, and WINDOWS STILL DIDN'T RECOGNIZE THE DRIVE. Any other suggestions? edit: There was some error with the SATA drivers included; how can I make my own boot disk?

Trying to install XP Home. SATA HDD somehow recognized by the BIOS, but not by XP. I've got some (updated?) Promise SATA drivers, but I don't know just how to go about making the boot disk. Help?

I'm planning to go for the mainstream Asetek HSF, but they use a proprietary thermal paste. How much cooler could I get it if I cleaned it with some Arctic Cleaner 1+2 and put on some AS5?
