I haven't followed Tesla's issues. Are they reliability issues or just people noting that they can't get the car as warm as they would like?
If you were to do a density map of Teslas, they are generally going to be found in pretty forgiving climates anyway. LA/San...
Yeah there's going to be a whole subreddit of "assholes at Tesla" chargers or something.
And it's not really our fault. I'm just waiting for a time that someone tries to confront me on taking up two two stalls.
It's not my fault some bean counter said the cables needed to be ridiculously...
It really is a fascinating color. I also got my Tesla adapter in yesterday. Now I get to see if I can actually manage to charge at a Supercharger with their 3' long charge cable on the wrong side of the station.
I kinda just want to turn off OTA and not deal with them. But the IT person in me screams existentially at that thought. No performance pack right now. It's stupid fast enough as it is. My wife is already gonna get in so much trouble. She doesn't need any more enablement. :P
Eruption Green is a fascinating color. The golds that come out of it in the sunlight are something. And it's all green here all the time and it's kind of camouflaged against a treeline. It's eye catching up close but just another green Subaru from a distance. 😄
If my kid were a year closer to college I'd be looking at leasing an Ioniq5 for her. Can walk away with those for under $200/mth lease and free EA charging for 2 years. That's cheap and dependable college transportation.
I also just can't get over how much better the MagneRide suspension is on the GT. It's not even the same platform at this point. I don't know mechanically what was so dog shit about the Premium suspension we had previously, but I hated it. It was the worst combination of being sloppy when it...
If you can't charge at home then you are missing out on a significant quality of life improvement that having an EV provides. And I did look at the Korean siblings for the charging speed. But honestly, one of the things I was reading about was they charged so fast that they were done before...
I'm not shy about the problems I had with our 21. It was a lot. But Ford really seems to want to be engaged and improve the car.
This is a nice summary of why we came back to another one after the first was a rough experience...
We went to the Portland auto show back in February and looked around at the whole EV section. My wife spotted the Eruption Green there and instantly fell in love.
Our Rapid Red '21 was a fluke that we ended up getting. It was a dealer demo that wasn't listed anywhere. We took it for a long...
I don't have a flying car, but this is close. It's seats and suspension are so much better than my 2021. I feel like I'm driving a rocket. It's so fast and effortless to drive. My wife and I just went carving back roads all weekend in the mountains and giggled like kids.
It's the most fun car...
So on a whim I was trying to look at dealer inventory on premium extended AWD models in Eruption Green. And just by freak chance I find little local mom and pop place that has a 2024 GT on the lot.
You can't find them right now.
But we did. And we drove it for like 2 blocks and I was like...
Ford had reached out to me though a post on the Mach-E forum and I got hooked up with a dealer that took much better care of me. Got an engineer on site and actually did the recall on the high voltage junction box along with fixing the ABS module problem.
I had a Ford corporate CSR following...
Now that said, I wasn't off the EV train. We loved most things about the concept.
I did a lot of homework the last few weeks.
Tried an id4 and wanted to like it, but I couldn't get my legs under the steering wheel.
Wanted to love the Ioniq5 and tried to like it. But it just wasn't...
