i guess i could wait to see what the prices for the gtx will be after the release of the 9. when is the official release?

I'm currently using my old Opteron 144 @ 2.9ghz. I haven't been able to keep up with/upgrade computer stuff cause of school and work so I'm pretty behind. Wondering though if the 112 stream processors is going to make a difference as opposed to the 96 the come on the standard G80 GTS cards?
