While 3Com and Intel nic's are good, you really don't have to pay $50 for a good nic. Linksys makes a solid nic, and at $20 a pop, you can't go wrong. I have two, one of them is several years old. Like I said, rock solid. Avoid any nic with a realtek chip like the plague.

Asus, the old Socket7 board I had was solid, should've stuck with them for my Duron... Which reminds me to add FIC to the worst.
