Thanks for the response. I can't get it off the carpet but I could make some kind of risers for it. Anybody else agree that this orientation is going to be fine?

The PSU is a Enermax Revolution and the case is a Silverstone TJ10. Ideally I would like to mount the PSU with the fan facing down. This should keep things a little quieter and also provide it with air from just outside the case. However, the mesh vent at the bottom (which I removed) is a little...
