Thanks, I've grabbed XYplorerFree and Directory Opus 12 and will let you know what's what. I have tried Explorer alternatives in the past and usually found them to be some stark combination of ugly and unwieldy, though I don't recall having tested either of these. Q-Dir might fit that...
