I had a simular thing happen to my 160 it started showing up as 280 or some such... freekie... even Partition Magic showed the same wrong info... used FDisk to swack it and all came back to normal...
I guess we are taling about DVDs here ... my understnading is that the media needs to be 8x or you will burn the DVD at the platter rated speed. Thus you are not burning at 8x. I think...

My vid card and monitor both have digital/analog out/in puts. Can they both be connected at the same time allowing me to choose the input on the monitor? I have always connected them either or and now 64bit linux seems to line the analog and winxp is ok with the digital... wondering. Thanks...
