If the M2 is based on the A16 Bionic cores, then 2,000 point single-core scores are possible. There is a chance that now that Apple's Macs are using Apple Silicon chips, they could flip the script and create the M2 chip first and then bring it down to the A16 design in terms of lower core counts...
