I have the drive set to master....it is the only IDE device in the system

Did some more troubleshooting....took MB out of case, tried new cables, new power supply, different drive, with no power to the MB, and with the IDE cable plugged in, the drive won't power up, unhook the cable, and it powers up. Looks like I got a bum MB.....:( Tim

Building a new system....it is a slow build, but ran into a problem. I have the Chaintech ZNF3-150, but have yet to purchase memory or processor, like I said...a slow build. Today I get in a NEC 8x DVD burner put it in the case and it powers up, cool I think. So now I start routing the IDE...
