Ok. I just tested with Heroes of the Storm. The Nvidia GPU didn't work with it. The 940m has 2 GB of vRAM and it wasn't being used. So I will reactivate the Intel GPU and see if I have 2 GB of VRAM.
I just purchased an Acer Aspire E 15 Notebook computer. I removed its OEM 1 TB HDD and put in a 240 GB SSD (never booted it with original HDD). I did a fresh install of Windows 10 x64 and installed the basic drivers including the Nvidia 940m display driver. It seems to be working well, but...
It was my red headed step child of an OS. I installed 32bit XP on a different partition and ran some games and things ran smoothly. The drivers for the GTX 460 just don't perform well with XP x64--no wonder because I might be the last person on Earth who still uses it.

It actually was my cpu! I ran Hot Cpu Tester Pro 4 and it came back with incorrect check sum values with my cpu. I RMA'd my open box cpu to newegg, they...
My old mobo fried its chipset so I upgraded my mobo, ram, and cpu. Now my new build is unstable despite my fresh windows install. I at first thought it was incompatible components (though I checked my RAM on the mobo list before I bought), but now I think it is faulty hardware.
