Buy A Ultra Wide IPS Monitor 2560X1080 Or Wait For 4K/OLED?

I would get neither - wait for Oculus Rift! :)

Can I fit gtx 780 on cooler master scout case?

Yes, it will fit. I have the Storm Scout too and recently put in a powercolor hd 7970 of 265mm length. It was a tight fit but manageable. So you should be good with the 267mm GTX 780, but will have to ensure there are no cables between the edge of the card and the drive cage.

    Finally got the 7970

I did try to find the answer to the slow performance, but in general all enb presets were superslow in GTA.

    Finally got the 7970

I bought a 7970 as well couple weeks ago, to replace my GTX 470 in a rather aging i5-750 build. Was totally bummed out when I discovered that in one of the main games I bought for (GTA 4 + L3evo ENB mod) the 7970 ran slower than the 470. The 470 was getting 30 fps, and the 7970 was < 20 fps...

Funniest thing I've seen in a while "X-RANGERS: Defenders of gaming"

http://youtu.be/VQI8lhHFQ9Q Stumbled on this while looking up vidcards to buy. ROFLMAO'd all the way through the video. It's a tongue-in-cheek parody of power-rangers by XFX. "Intellector" = Intel, "Nvicious" = Nvida. If someone at Nvidia or Intel has seen this vid I am sure they would get...

***Official Reviews Thread*** Nvidia Geforce GTX Titan - Launched Feb. 21, 2013

For me the biggest issue with Titan is that (at least according the pre-release benchmarks from Nvidia) it has about 40% better performance than the GTX 680 even though it has double the transistor count. Given the Titan's clock speeds are 80% to 85% of the 680, we should have gotten at least...

Updated List of Video Card GPU OVERALL Performance VP Ratings - TITAN update!

It must have taken you a fair bit of effort to get all these numbers. They also look legit to me, based on the comparison I have been doing myself among recent generations.

    Which brand for GTX 470

Actually its not CUDA per se that I am interested in, but an easy entry into GPGPU programming. My impression is that Nvidia's toolset is much richer and easier to use than AMD's. Is that true? Which company's platform is more suitable for a newbie to get started with GPGPU programming?

    Which brand for GTX 470

Just learning. Performance-wise its games I care about. I did think about going the route of getting a 5850 for gaming and a GT 220 for CUDA, but the total cost of these is the same as 470, so I'd rather avoid the hassle of switching cards all the time.

Nopes, its a normal fan, not the one called "GOOD".

    Which brand for GTX 470

Hi all. Here in Denmark I have a few choices in GTX 470s. The Gainward is available now, while the MSI and Asus parts will be available in 3 days. Is it true that the MSI and Asus 470s have better components/cooling performance than the vanilla cards such as the Gainward? Which company's card...

Antec 900 or 900-2 wide enough for long graphic cards?

Hi folks, I am gravitating towards the Antec Nine Hundred or Nine Hundred 2 (for its dust filters) as the case to get for my new build. However the cases' width seems to be a tad on the short side for mounting the current big-boy GPUs such as GTX 275 or 295 etc. Is this assumption correct? I...

Older PVA panels good for gaming/multimedia use?

I am about to jump the gun on a new monitor, and was initially set on the G2400WD but then switched to the Dell 2209WA based on xtknight's recommendation in the LCD thread. However today I looked around in the local shops and there was a 'shop demo' Acer AL2623W 25.5" S-PVA which had been...

    [Retired] The LCD Thread

XTKNIGHT, You rock dude, thanks for the answers! I am trying to convince myself to settle for the 22" eIPS, but am salivating a bit for the larger 24"+ LCDs from Dell and even the super (from the reviews) NEC WUXi series (gasp!). The ONLY reason for even considering the G2400WD is that...
