I had tried an ASrock K7VM2 board but it was to long for the case. I returned it and lost some money on it. The wife was unimpressed. I was thinking maybe MSI MS-6378X-L? Don't want to lose more money on returns though.

if the power supply is underrated for anything more powerful would it pay to just get a new ATX case w/ps cheap and go from there? The cost factor is a big thing and I was even hoping to use the old memory.

cable is cheaper by $6 dollars

I can get a digital package from my cable company (Bright House) for about $98 and get DSL for $45 amonth. My current cable bill is $60 so Cable would be a little cheaper. BellSouth DSL has a special where if I sign up for a year the first three months would be $19.99/month. What to do, what to do.

Had the power go out the other night and now when I try to sign in on my kids computer it will dial up and start loading the home page then it disconnects. I wasn't sure if it could be the modem since I do hear it dial out. Anyone have this happen before?

I am trying to decide whether to get either Cable or DSL The two companies available to me are Bright House (Cable) or Bell South (DSL). Which would you suggest or any insite to whether one is better than the other.

I checked out the site KBTibbs had suggested http://aumha.org/win5/a/shtdwnxp.htm I was able to find a solution, they suggested to go into my computer then startup and recovery and settings then I was able to select automatically restart and the system now shuts down :D

Two wires come from the case power button, a black and a red. On the mother board diagram it shows where the two wires should go ( along with the led pins). I tried both combinations to no avail, same results. The only other wires are a green, black, yellow, black and they seem to be for the HDD...

Just installed a Gigabyte GA-6VEML motherboard in my kids computer and now when I choose to shutdown the system it will shut down the operating system and then begins to restart. I am running Windows XP Home and am not sure what options I have. Thanks

Well I called Microsoft again and got different operator than the last. I told them what happened and they had me retype my product id key where it say change product id. It generated a new activation code that the operator inputed and came back clear. she gave me a new 42 digit activation ID...

I just replaced the mainboard in my computer that had XP Home installed. When I started the computer it said I had to activate the product, when I contacted Microsoft they told my the activation code showed the product was invalid and I would have to return the softwarre to the place I purchased...
