hi. i have an aureal sound card (vortex2) when i play winamp, the sound locks up, and just stops playing. winamp seems to freeze, but i can close it with no problem. after that, i have no sound what so ever. only a restart or reinstalling the drivers help... for 2-3 minutes when my winamp locks...

thank you all for your help. i guess i'll be getting more ram then, since ram is dirt cheap nowadays... perhaps i will purchase a matrox g400 or 450 in the near future to make things look better. hm... can anyone tell me the difference between g400 and g450. thanks alot.
