Are you running Win2k? I have a Hauppauge Cheapo tv tuner card (the bottom of the line), and I've experienced the same problem: black screen, when left unattended. I've found that it only happens in Win2k though. Nothing overclocked, here. My theory? Cheap tv tuner!
