No. Its not a scaler. It strips away the HDCP protection on, for instance, the output from the PS3. My TV only accepts a 1:1 pixelmapped image on the VGA input, so this would be great for me :)

I think its supposed to be around 120 dollars (this is why I'm interested in it, but also why I feel that it would be best to see a review of it first). However, when I entered the site that took preorders for it, it was gonna cost me around 170 euros with shipping and VAT.
