I got a new system, so I took my older one and hooked it up to a wireless adapter. Only problem now is that it's become unbearably slow since disconnecting it from my router. No other major hardware/software changes otherwise. Any ideas and/or possible solutions? TIA

Using Codec Sniper and ffdshow resolved the issue. No more packs for me!

Same thing happens when running MPC . . . Not sure if it's K-lite's fault or WMP. Will try uninstalling again then.

Perhaps I should describe this a bit more. AVIs do open and I hear sound, but there is no image save for 5 or so small colored lines. It looks like if the lines were bigger, I might be able to see something going on back there--kinda like looking through blinds, if you know what I mean.

I have a HP Pavilion ZE1201 that is prone to either freezing or simply shutting down unexpectedly. Could this be a memory issue? The system originally came installed with 128 MB RAM and I added 256 more (no more empty slots). Should I swap out the 128 and get another 256? TIA

No problems viewing text on web pages, only while using FTP. Will see if fiddling around with language settings makes any difference.

How can I do it? Anything with an accent, umlaut, squiggly thing or whatever is not working for me (I'm using BPFTP)!
