    Question about a Laptop Purchase

Hi All, I have a quick question for everyone. I just purchased a laptop from HP, its one of the dv9000t series. The laptop will have the Intel Centrino Core 2 Duo T5200 (1.6ghz) in it, and 2 gig of DDR2 ram, and the nVidia GeForce Go 7600 (256mb). Is this laptop going to be able to handle...

Question about 1x PCI-e Video card

Don't know how much the card was. I think we got it much cheaper. I didn't take off the heatsink mainly because the parts were tested before they left (ordered from monarch). I guess I could take it off though and have a look, no real harm in that.

Question about 1x PCI-e Video card

Yea, I tried both a new hard drive and new RAM. Same problems. Pretty much it blue screens most of the time after it finishes the format and the inital copy. then when it reboots into windows right before it starts the next phase of the install. It blue screens. So I'm kind of stumped.

    Venice Core Help

I double checked when I was replacing the cpu .. the processor was seated fine .. and the heatsink had good contact .. so I think from what I've been reading it might some issue with how the processor handles memory, but not really sure.

    Zalman CNSP7000B-AlCu

Hey All, I currently have a Zalman CNSP7000B-AlCu heatsink/fan combo. I'm curious if this will be a good cooling device for the new 3800+ AMD Chip (Venice core). Or if I would be better off getting one of the XP-120 heatsinks. I will get the new heatsink if needed, but I'm hoping this one...

    Processor Opinion

hehehe, She is getting married in September. So money is tight for her. So I'm helping her out with some parts as kind of a wedding gift. So once again thanks Duvie! Thanks also for that review, opened my eyes to a few things :)

    Processor Opinion

Well I'm only doing this to help out my sister. If this wasn't the case then I would be hanging on to what I have. Thank you though guys for all the input. I think I will take Duvie's suggestion and go with the 3800. Thanks once again for the help.

    Processor Opinion

Well my video card isn't in bad shape at all. I have a BFG 6800GT. So I'm not worried about that. The review on that 3800 is real nice though.

    Processor Opinion

hmm, so the difference in the L2 cache you say won't make much difference at all. That was half the reason I was looking at those 2 processors. If that be the case though, I will have to look at the 3800+

    Processor Opinion

My family member is getting the 3500+ so I'm looking to get one of those 2 processors. I won't be over clocking though. I don't trust myself over clocking :)
