I just went to Frys and spent another $9.99 for an PCI 2.0 card. I have transferred 50 megs to and from my external HDD with no errors. I am about 30 minutes into a DVD with no errors yet. I use to be able to transfer a couple hundred meg before it locked up. Thanks , Tim

I saw some have tried a pci 2.0 card? Did this fix the issues? I only get the lockup when transferring large (2gig+) files to an external HDD using USB 2.0 I have the same Frys BF 3800+ ECS setup. Thanks, Tim
