Macaronee Penguin: Both video cards and the USB controller are on IRQ 5, and the mouse is a USB mouse - but that doesn't explain why it still didn't work with a regular PS/2 mouse. I can't change the IRQ for either video card manually so I'll try moving the PCI video card to a lower slot...

Well, disabling dual-monitors in Windows just before I launch the game seems to have fixed it, but I still don't understand why it makes that happen. Oh well. Is there any other way to fix it? Disabling it every time I want to play and then putting back my toolbars afterwards is kind of annoying.

This problem arose very suddenly and I can't trace it back to any specific changes I've made. The problem is most noticable during gaming, and then most noticably in Counter-Strike. At random times, usually right when I need to shoot somebody, either my keyboard or my mouse will lock up, or...
