I'd take a 1GHz/133 P3 over any non-northwood p4 under 2 GHz. And I'd take a P III Tualatin 1.26GHz 512K over any northwood processor under 2Ghz. Remember that the p4 was designed to be cheap and clock fast, not to be a petter proc than the p3.

My MB can be set to 133 MHz, so I'm not going to take the hit. Thanks for the MWave link; the ones on sale locally only support up to 100MHz.

The switching-tape-brands thing was a big deal a couple of years ago (incomplete spec apperently) but was supposed to have been fixed back then. All the same, I stick with Sony media unless I'm on vacation and didn't bring enough blanks.

Thanks for the reminder. Interestingly enough, I wasn't in the records earlier today, but I am now :) Disbursement date 2/26. And I bought the card on vacation, in StLouis, where the stores opened an hour early for some reason...
