I have an E2140 with the stock 650i board. Cheapest way to go C2D where I'm located. The day the package arrived in the mail I had it running 2.7 Ghz with stock voltage. I know there's more potential in the board and I'm just waiting until I have a free minute to play around with it. The E2xxx...
I've had my hotmail account since '99 I think. I got the e-mail that said I'd be upgraded "soon" a month or so ago but it hasn't happened yet, so that's no guarantee either.
I overclocked my laptop by about 20% and ran it with a 120 mm fan on the keyboard. that was back in the socket7 days. There were little dip switches to control FSB and multiplier. The best part was upgrading the processor though.
Well, I finally bit my lip and ordered this after sitting on the fence for several days. What finally made me do it was the dwindling stocks reported by peterpan2002; probably not the best reason to get something, but I was pretty sure I'd get it after my next paycheck anyway... so this just...
Sounds to me like this case from the 'geeks might be right up your alley. Targus makes quality stuff - I've used a plain canvas case of theirs for 4 years, and it's served me well - but don't pay anything more than you have to.
I dunno if you're dead set on getting a sony, but you might want to check out www.powernotebooks.com
This model is pretty close to what you were looking to get, but cheaper and faster: PowerPro IV
These guys have an excellent reputation for customer service and support, as well. I would...

Of course, a C3 would require less cooling than a PIII so a notebook built for it would probably include less as well. In other words, you might have to deal with overheating issues if you change the processor. I like the concept, but I think I'll wait for some reviews.
Although this belongs in Iwanna, I'll try to help you out with what I know. Target and Wal-mart and probably a few other places sell cappucino makers in the neighborhood of 30-40 bucks. They look decent for a home model, but you'll probably get what you pay for... if you want something with a...
Hey, I was just browsing Compgeeks a minute ago and saw this link on their front page:
24 inch ATA133 Round Cables
and since I haven't seen round cables for this cheap anyplace else (granted, I haven't been looking too hard) I thought I'd share it with you guys. The link I posted is for the...
