Oh yeah...you are right. I couldn't hook up directly to the card because of the pin layout on the video card. I tried using just one line of the Y to my 26" and it wouldn't display.
I don't think that will work but the videocard should have came with the splitter capable of running two monitors. I have a 755 that I am working on right now with a HD2400XT and it came with a splitter for two VGA monitors and another splitter for two DVI monitors.
I also tried running this...
We have been doing the same thing at my house for the grandparents. I have tried SightSpeed, Skype (not the new beta version with improved video quality) and Windows Live Messenger. We found that Windows Live Messenger to be the best so far (still looking). It allows us to view everything in...
Same exact problem as mine. It would come and go depending on how long I had the monitor turned off. Just go ahead and get the DoubleSight :), you won't regret it!!!
I think the three year warranty is standard for a Dell LCD. Do all credit cards extend it by a year? I will have to check into that.
The DoubleSight is by far the best monitor for the money...that is if you plan on spending that much money (~$650 to $700). Check out the forum at...
I guess you are using a 2001FP? I had the same problem start up about 2 months ago on my 2001FP but on the right hand side. My vertical lines were multi-colored and would eventually turn solid black so I could not see anything on the right hand side (~2 inches). I tested every which way to...
I just bought the DoubleSight DS-263N and love it. I have a 8800GTS 512 G92 and plan on using the step-up program for the 9800GTX (I think need more benchmarks first).
You didn't mention a price but the DS goes for about ~$700 and is a 25.5 inch screen. Just the right size...at least for...
Still trying to figure this out...last night I first changed DVI cables...still had the issue. I then changed monitors no issue. However that monitor is a Dell 17FP at 12 x 10. Would the resolution make a difference? I know have both monitors plugged in at the same time and running both at...
I don't think that my video card is overheating (but I will try with the panel off to make sure).
I have RivaTuner running in the background so I can keep an eye on the temps and fan. My fan is set to start at 50% and go up as the temp goes up. My idle temp of the video card is around 43C...
Just recently I built a new machine and everything has been working fine. The only component that I did not buy was a monitor...still using my Dell 2001 panel. My video card is an EVGA 8800GTS 512.
Last night my monitor starting displaying a section, about 2 inches wide, of multi-colored...

I have the IP35 Pro, Q6600 G0, Zalman 9700 and I was able to get 3.2 Ghz (9x355) stable on stock Vcore (1.2625 V). The only voltage I have touched is the Ram...changed it from 1.8 (default) to 2.2. My first overclock and it was very easy to do...I might even say idiot proof but every system is...
I only have 1 DIMM installed and have it located in Slot 2 and Memtest errors like crazy. I do the same thing in Slot 3 and Memtest doesn't even run. Slot 1 works great.
Here are the volts/temps:
Voltage CPU = 1.16V
+3.3V Voltage = 3.23V
+5V Voltage = 4.76V
+12V Voltage = 11.92V...
Thanks for the quick response. However, I did mention that I already ran Memtest on the ram.
Zero errors when running either DIMM in Slot 1 only. Thousand of errors when running either DIMM in Slot 2 only. Memtest does not even run with either DIMM when in Slot 3 only.
The video card...
