Can you better qualify the sounds you are getting. regarding the newer softter click noise , how often are you getting it. every second. every two seconds. can you also run Cntl-Alt-Dell - click performance and tell how CPU utlization goes.

BTW I tried to disable index servicing, disable write back cache for teh hard disk, nothing solves the problem. Oh well .... LIfe is full of headaches..
