Ahhh OK... Now is it just coincidence that the DDR2 requirements are half that of the FSB speed, or am I missing something here? Because I thought the memory speed was now independent of the FSB? Or is that just for hypertransport (AMD)?

Oh and another thing -- are the buses independent as well on the current intel-based systems? I have a Core 2 duo 2.3ghz system, and I happened to already order DDR2 800 (the board supports 667/800/1066)? I guess i'm still confused as to what the benefit is of having a faster memory bus...
