I had a computer with Asus A7V with 0.8GHz returned as the computer went to sleep with no reason. The vendors could not figure it out. Other vendors all point to the 250W PS. Please get one big enough. Also, some cheap PS may say 300W but would not get you there.

Is there any way to check the cpu and mb temp beside during startup at the setup. Can I put the monitoring on all the time. Thanks.

As you can see, I just got a 1.1G Athlon, I do have a system to go fast. Just try to go cheap to bring the other system to par. Big Lance when you talked about other budget card, what do you mean by that. I am afraid that onece I got the video card I may go for cpu upgrade etc.

My other computer has a basic PC100 board running celeron 366, 192 meg ram, 8 meg ATI expert card. Only run game at 2D. Wondering should I upgrade video to Geforce2 MX card or should I wait until another new system in 1 or 2 years. Thanks for info.

It was weird. Install through the DVD rom but can't play Diablo with the same drive. However, it would run with the CDR drive. Tried everything, finally change the DVD drive now working OK. Just want to know why. The DVD rom seemed to run fine. It would run other games. Thanks in advance for info

Thanks for the info. I had disable all the power management stuff and still happen. Someone mentioned that the 250w power supply may not be enough so the cpu shut down something. Does that make sense?
