Hi, I believe this is normal for 865PE chipset (SATA controller integrated in Southbridge). I have PX865PE Pro and Seagate SATA 80 GB - disk is also visible as ATA100 in both enhanced and combined mode (Windows XP reports SATA as IDE controller in device manager). Best regards, Tom

Hi, I have similar configuration (PX 865PE Pro, BIOS 1.15, P4 2.4C). Win XP SP1, Aida32 shows 49-50C idle, 59-61C full load, 60-65C full load OC @ 3.0 GHz. It seems sensor is calibrated that way and shows very near core temperature. Take into account it?s very hot these days where I come from...
