It appears that the board I ordered, which I'll be getting next week, is 1.05 too. I'll let ya know.

You should be able to simply take off the front panel of the floppy drive - there are usually a couple of clips that require a push or a pull and then it will come off. Once it's off the installation is as easy as matching the slot on your case to the bare floppy drive. Good luck.
