I got a Vizio VA26L10T from Walmart....The Tru volume crud drives me nuts...with it on volume varies in movies .....and DVDs....with it off it's fine but then i have to crank up all the way...I'm on a old guys retiree budget and don't want to shell out for a sound bar right now... It bugs me...

i turned off the srs hd but left srs volume on..so far it seems to help

i notice if i turn it off the volume is steady but a lot lower

on or off for srs sound.. i wonder..i tried both ways..

have an old Magnavox DVD player and a brand new Vizio 26AL10T HDTV..what i notice is the volume will go up and down while watching a movie on DVD...if i reverse picture the rise and volume drop off will be on the same spots on the dvd..its an old cheapo DVD player with just AV outputs...RCA...
