for Link:(and others interested) have been using f3a(beta?) and it is super stable. Can't comment on the sata issue since I run only one sata as c: and other drives ide. CPU running at 229 w/ambient 87, yes the hottest summer we've ever had. Have run hard benchmarks at 240-243, will do some...
Yes bsod with cool n quiet. why bother I guess. I tried to play UT2004, -bsod. I just turned QnQ - on looked at my 5V and it was about 3.28. Turned it off 5V was 5.29. Not sure but this board always has a prob with 5V.
I am running F3A. Is anyone having their temp indicate that their power...
Thanks Jayl... the key does appear to be in upping the core. I have been successful with 10 x 235 and my sys likes the settings. I set core to 1.65v and it was like you sait wtf! Running great. Excellent benchmarks in Aqua (60k+) with stock settings on x6800.
Tried 10 x 243 and my vid card said...
Got replacement mobo. Same old song and dance. 5V all over the place. This PS is the best (40Ax 5v) and ran A1 in my other mobo. Anybody got any ideas? At the end of my rope...
Willing to try anything other than going back to the Foxconn right now.

Now I'm really scared. My new board will be here tomorrow. What bios were you running at your last install?
My Foxconn is running so-so. But the only way I can get good marks is by running their software OC tool called "SUPERSTEP". I can run stable at 230 cpu memlock at 166. Their PCI...
Has anyone been able to OC with the memlock set to 200? And have it stick on cold boot?
Please provide all settings if possible. Bios ver., cpu overclock, memory timings, ht speed, temp, voltages, etc.
Thanx
Link: How is your 5V rail looking? I rma'd my mb because I was getting down to 1.3V or something like that. Maybe it was the bios? Are your settings sticking even on a cold startup?
Well. I'm back again. We Gigabyte guys shouldn't be too depressed. I have a Foxconn MB that is super stable, lower temps, better rails etc. And guess what? It'll run at high speeds, but wou won't be able to post/boot. I have contacted support and am now running the latest beta bios. It will not...
200 or 166, what's it gonna be. seems like the same old same old syndrome. You buy PC3200 or 3500 you expect to be able to run it that way. Am I wrong? So far, when I get my replacement MOBO it'll be on EbAY, UNLESS SOMETHING SPECTACULAR HAPPENS..
I use everything I can get my hands on. But saying that, I also purchased a license from EnTch for Powerstrip. Unfortunately they had not caught up with X800 architecture. Crash/double vision. They have since come out with support for X800. PStrip is good for settting the clock. ATITool is great...
Addendum to above: re my quote: "OK..first of all decide whether you can afford another card."
The only way you can hurt your card is by cracking or chipping the core (I've done it), or not getting good contact between sink and GPU. Or not connecting power supply properly (you should get a...
OK..first of all decide whether you can afford another card. Taking off the original is a snap, just keep everything in case you want to put it back together.
I've done 2 Arctic Coolers (9800 pros) and 1 Giant III. The main things to do are:
1) Remain cool, don't down too many beers, six pack...
