Thanks for the suggestion guys. I am going to do a switch-a-roo and swapp out the motherboard with a replacement. I've read a lot of these Toshiba laptops run into heating problems....that combined with a sprinkle of "bad luck" and you got yourself a paperweight. I'll keep you guys posted.
Yes I did, nothing showed up on the monitor.
Yes, the hdd did boot up and I was able to access all my files/folders.

Did all of that including RAM and other parts. The power light is lit when I plug the charger in, but nothing else happens after I push the power button. I'm assuming the motherboard has died. Any other possible suggestions? Thanks again for your input.

Ive been running into several problems with my usb drives from seagate to generic ones. I load files and whatever onto the drives and later when I plug them in to transfer files or retrieve them . . . . a popup comes up indicating that the drive has not been formatted yet. One...
Ah ok .. .. . well . . Ill give that a try tomorrow morning. If that doesn't budge . . looks like ill have to go with a hard drive recovery service. They look pretty damn pricey . . does anyone have any recommendations?
Oh, i made sure of that. You are right sometimes the answer is right in front of us. . . but, not in this case. I will try to contact support, but my biggest concern is how I can still retrieve the data within the drive. IF anyone any suggestions . . much appreciated.
