that's what i tried to do the laptop came with windows me and i want to get rid of it. the install does everything it's supposed to do in windows, and when it restarts it can't find the drive. do I have any other alternatives? can windows 2000 be installed over the network or anything like that?

the drive is not SCSI it is just regular IDE. I tried doing that with the driver disk supplied by the manufacturer, but it said that it didn't find anything on the disk.

i have a enlight 7237 case with a case fan. i found that an extra case fan doesn't help at all i thought this case had decent ventilation and the fop32-1 was supposed to be a very good HSF.

have you tried it without the ATI card. i know the card is good(if any ATI card can be) but i have a friend that has a similar situation. He had a A7V and the ATI PCI worked fine with his GF2. But now he got a ABIT KTA-RAID and he has everything the same but it wouldn't post with the ATI card...
