FYI, I got the on-board sound working. I uninstalled the VIA 1.20A Drivers and instead installed the 1.08 PCI VIA Sound Drivers. Since then I haven't had the lockup problem.

I have a very similar problem. I just built a new system with a MSI K7T Pro2-A board, AMD Athlon T-bird 850, Win2K. I'm using the onboard Audio. It works fine in Windows but if I load a 3D game it works fine for a while (usually 10-15 mins) and then the whole system freezes. I know it's the...
