    Storage Enclosure for multiple drives

I am wondering if there is a box with a bunch of slots for hard drives where I can put in a bunch of TB drives and use them as storage and backup. I do a fair amount of video editing and I like to hang on to my old projects and clips. I don't want a RAID set up because I'd rather back them...

    Audio out on GTX 285

I have been trying to find out if there is an audio out on the GTX 285. I see there is 2 DVI outs and an S-Video out which leads me to believe that audio will not come out of the card. I have a really nice audio adapter but I don't use it for movie watching and I want to stream video from my...

    Asus P5Q-E won't turn off

Yes it worked until I put the Y Cable in and changed the Xigi S1283 push-pins to a back plate. I reseated the ram and the video card. I made sure my Xigi backplate wasn't causing a short circuit. Still no dice.

    Asus P5Q-E won't turn off

I have an Asus P5Q-E and I just put in two new fans. The system will no longer post. I am able to turn ON the machine using the case power button as well as the power button on the MOBO however once its turned on I can't turn it off without unplugging it. There are no beep codes no nothing...

Software regulated fan controller, (Stupid P5Q-E)

I am looking for a software controlled fan controller. I have an ASUS P5Q-E motherboard and it does not work well with SpeedFan. Some fans on the Auxiliary heads can be run on SpeedFan (not consistently nor intuitively) and the CPU fan can only be controlled via QFan (ASUS? fan regulation...

Runs like a sweet machine, sounds like a small airplane

Hey guys, I just got a CoolerMaster 922 HAF and put in a Xigmatek 1283 with Push/Pull configuration using 2 Scythe 3k Kaze's. This case has 200mm fans on the front and top, and a 120 tricool in the back. This case is freaking loud It's not like I didn't expect this but I guess I didn't...

    Xigi 1283S + 2 Kazes

I ordered a XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 120mm Rifle with 2 Kaze's. It looks like I should have gone panaflo fans and a megahalem heat sink from what I have read (but I paid for my rush job and lack of research). But if I can get this q6600 up to 3.6 with tolerable noise I'll be happy. The order...

    e6600 67C CPU

I have an Asus P5B Deluxe with an E6600. I'm running 333X9 with C1 disabled, Vcore at 1.2V, PCIExpress 100Mhz, PC6400 underclocked to 533. The CPU on speed fan is 67C and each core is listed at 64C. I just took off the fan and applied some thermal grease. The fan is a Zalman 92mm Fatal1ty...

    CUDA nVidia Exclusive?

I am seriously considering picking up a GTX 295 sometime soon. I don't do a ton of gaming but I do a fair amount of video editing and multimedia. Therefore the CUDA enabled technology is important to me. I was looking that the HD4870's in a crossfire set up and they are a pretty powerful...

GTX 285 graphs in anandtech review

Thanks very much for your detailed reply, If you click the link of the graphs it says total system power in watts which is confusing. If you think a 285 will run with my 500W PSU then I'll try that. I really can't afford a new PSU right now (nor a 285 but I am weak willed).

GTX 285 graphs in anandtech review

This question is prompted from the anandtech review of the GTX 285 power graphs The graph says full load of the system. This is an i7 with some pretty stacked specs yet the highest total system wattage at load is 490 (with GTX 285 SLi). Why would they bench this with a 1200W power supply...

    GTX 285 or GTX 295?

I am wondering whether to get the GTX 285 or GTX 295. I can't go SLi in the future because I have Asus P5Q-E (doesn't support SLi). My apprehension from getting the 295 is the poor reviews on newegg and the inconsistent results with programs that can't handle 2 GPU's. Suggestions, Rumor...
