802.11g has a shorter range the 802.11b and we need all the range we can get. The WAP antennas will be 50'-60' in the air as it stands. We're trying to not put antennas as every house in the community, but we may have to on some of the more remote locations.

Being a cheap dude, I'm wondering if I buy an external 5.25" USB case, slap a CD-RW drive in it, will Nero recognize it? Assuming I load the USB drives for the drive case. In other words, are there other drivers needed besides what usually comes with the USB case? Thanks!

Try to keep the same SCSI type or better (Ultra/Ultra Wide/U2/U160). Shouldn't slow it dow at all otherwise. That's what nice about SCSI. :)

Sounds like any one of several viruses to me. You are running current virus protection, right?

Unless someone removed the stickers on the bottom of the laptop, the service tag number and the express code should be there. Either will get you to the exact drivers.

Spent several hours last night installing several ASPI layers ( the best was from Adaptec which can be gotten here ). I've learned that Windows 2000 & XP do have an ASPI layer and one must be loaded for a lot of CD-ROM burner software to work. My collection of coasters groweth. Still looking...
