I can see them to revert to 3-digit numbering. TBF, going past 10000, in other words to 5-digit nomenclature, was sort unprecedented, when it happened with Intel CPUs. I was truly surprised when they announced 10900 lineup. Did not think they were going to do that.

I would not be getting 2, not even at MSRP. Its slowly getting into unaffordable territory, even if its used for work - people dont pay me enough sadly.

Honestly, in light of these latest connector shenanigans, even if the cards were available and at MSRP, i am not sure i would not actually hesitate to get one to risk the issues.

Just found out about this 12C CCD for Zen6. Is it just a rumor, or confirmed to be a thing? If its confirmed, i am definitely skipping Zen5 - there was still small possibility i would consider getting 9950x3D, but i wont if its guaranteed to be replaced by 24C chip in 2 years or so.

Then Nvidia places their 60-70 percent on top of that. I hope by the time the 6000 generation hits, the retailers are going to expect 60-70 percent as well 😛

Just saw the supposed pricing for MSI 5090s here and its downright bizzarre. Like only one model, Ventus, at MSRP, as expected. But the remaining 4 models, all straight up at 3000 EUROs or more (obviously including VAT). So no 200 to 600 EUROs about MSRP options, like in the past, straight up...
