Assigning macros, keystrokes and fine tuning dpi settings on the fly. This is a gaming mouse not a generic so it would help to run the Steel Series software if it didn't cause problems for me.
Has anyone had very much trouble with the Steel Series Engine software? My Sensei raw works just fine on the windows drivers.....as soon as I load up the Steel series engine and set everything up the mouse becomes intermittent and starts to freeze up. Works for maybe one or two boots of my...
Just picked up a SteelSeries Sensei Raw mouse. The side buttons feel better than the Kone Pure mouse and the shape and length of mouse is about perfect. So will probably sell the Kone Pure.
On the Steel Series mouse wish the two side buttons were spaced a little apart or had a different...
From an ergonomic standpoint and good everyday mouse the Steel series Ikari limited edition laser is hard to beat. Whether or not it excels in gaming vs the other Steel mice I don't know. This one just fits the hand like a glove......the Kone Pure did not.
It doesn't have the current laser...
I've got the Roccat Kone Pure which is smaller than the XTD. I should have stuck with the XTD because the Pure while nice is a little too small. It is a very smooth electrically operating mouse......German designed. Only a couple of issues with it. Wish the side buttons had a better feel to them...
I know that either display port or Dual link DVI is required for 120hz. Not all the Radeon cards have dual link DVI......so right there that would be an issue. My monitor is only Dual Link.
If your running a 120hz monitor Durvelle27 with a recent Radeon I'll take your word. Does 120hz show up...
I like the MSI N680GTX Twin Frozr 4GD5/OC GeForce GTX 680. As the cooling solution seems to be one of the best. I have used a couple of the Frozrs in the past and they come with quiet fans. This is the card I may pull the switch on......but it is a pretty high price tag at 509$.
Yes I've...
I'm also looking at the 670 ftw.....hopefully the 4gig version will come down in price on Black Friday.....probably won't though. Here is the one I like. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130824
Over at the Hard Forums site the 670 and 680s are liked more than the 7950s or 7970...
I've read that some users can't set their 7950s or other Radeon cards to 120hz for those with 3d monitors. If that is the case I may stick with Nvidia this time around. Can anybody confirm this? Hopefully Black Friday will offer some good deals on both.
Some of the older threads I came across stated that 3rd party drivers were needed to support anything higher than 60hz on the Radeon cards and that Catalyst Control panel didn't support 3d. But that might have changed with the newer cards. I'm assuming that if the card has Dual Link DVI should...
I'm running the Planar SA2311W 3d monitor. Can you set the refresh rates to 120hz on the new Radeon boards 7970 or 7950s? I'm in the market for a new video card......my current one Nvidia 460gtx allows me to set at 120hz but not sure on the Radeons as I haven't owned one for a long time.
I'm also looking at the Sapphire HD7950 as suggested by Russian Sensation. Will this card support a 3d 120hz monitor in 120hz mode like the Planar SA2311W? I'm assuming it will since it has DVI dual link but thought I'd better ask before I purchase. Is there a tab that allows 120hz operation in...
I just recently purchased the 3d Planar SA2311w for its 120hz 2d. Viewing angles on this TN monitor is a non issue for me. Yes the colors are nowhere as vibrant as IPS but has realistic look to it and I'm happy just to have the 120hz especially when I upgrade to IVY bridge and a new video card...
Going Ivy as well. I hear it will be on 22nm die with 10-15 percent improvements......and a large graphical improvement as well. Suppose to be out 2nd quarter 2012. At that time the new Nvidia stuff may be out as well. I don't see going Sandy bridge with Ivy so close.....if I can wait that is.
