For an 8 mile commute, this bike should be fine. There's a lesser chance of a flat with mountain bikes and as long as this one is in good condition, there should be plenty of life left on it. Price is decent.

Check out the Schwinns at your local target or walmart. They have some decent hybrids there for sub-300 price point. I am riding the tourist and it is a great bike. Looking to get a road bike in the future.

you're lucky... they in nyc, tint tickets aren't "fix-it" tickets and you would have to pay anyway. if the judge was nice that day, he MIGHT send someone to have the car looked at.

for people who are listed in there... i think the thing we should be concentrating on is trying to remove ourselves out of this list. while it is possible, they are asking for an extreme amount of information including: social security number (hells no i'm not giving that out) first name...

yeah... i totally agree. went on the last day and felt like i've seen everything in about 1/2 hour. i wished i read this before i actually went. i would have done other things with my time instead of wasting it like that.
