I have a Plextor 24x IDE ATAPI cd burner and now the windows device manager tells me that it's a SCSI device, which it certainly isn't. The drive still reads CDs but it can't burn with Nero anymore because of the confusion. My Pioneer DVD drive also has the same SCSI issue. Any ideas what went...

Are you talking about resetting the CMOS with the jumper? or something else... what did you mean discharge the bios. I guess I'm sort of a noob.

It's a generic 350W PSU. The computer's 2 years old and has been running with it fine for that long.
