Not a comment on the deal so much as on the router. The 4 port version is a switch, not a hub. So if you want to upgrade to a switched network and this router has enough ports for you, it is a cheap 4 port switch for the price differential.

As an addendum, some boards will allow you to even overclock your memory higher depending on the slot they occupy. (Assuming the RAM was your overclocking bottleneck.)

You may also need to go into the properties of Network Neighborhood, drill down on File and Print Sharing, go to the second tab and there is a setting there that refers to maintaining a browse list or something of that nature. (Sorry, no 98 boxes around to check it on.) Change the setting from...
