i remember seeing in all of the "where to find an 8800GT" threads people writing about the prices are so high and "just wait when then GTS comes out the prices will drop and that will probably be a so much better card bla bla bla" -- just wait... so now we've waited... and guess what ppl are...
so everyone was waiting for the GTS 512 G92 thinking it would be worth waiting for and what-not. After reading the reviews it seems to me to be a bit of a let down and seems to justify the prices ppl have been paying for the GT 512...

i have a very similar problem.. my 3dmark went from 4k to 8k after i got my GT in... but i am maxed out on the CPU now... hopefully i will be fixing that this week... :)
first of all.. the card is designed to run over 100C... however I dont think i'd feel to great about doing that...most ppl with the stock cooler run about 85C @ load...

anyone know if there is an advantage to "linking the clocks" (there is an option in rivatuner)between the GPU and the shader on the GT?? Do you think there is a performance penalty for unlinking them? Kinda like the penatly for not running ram 1:1 ?? anyone?
geez must be nice... i just tried 783 with my stock cooler.. gets up to about 83C max... but started crashing out of COD4... 777 seems stable so far... i only have the shaders up to 1833 but i havent really tried to work them higher yet... i cant imagine 49C @ load... im looking at 60C idle...
here is the bizzare thing... i had to disable driver checking to install it, but artifact checking doesnt work... if i reboot with driver checking on (after its been installed) the app warns me about the kernal mode driver not being loaded but the artifact checking actually works! its crazy...
