Make sure your cables are tight...My HD was acting up yesterday and I was freaking out. Man was I happy to see that it was just a loose SATA cable.

Thanks for the advice. One more question: Can I mix DDR 400 with DDR 500?? I just bought my new chip, mobo and video card but still have my old ram. I'm finding that I really need to upgrade the RAM to get the full performance.

I've had two SATA drives for 2 years now and have never installed drivers. I'm not saying that you never need to but I'm proof that you don't have to.

I'm currently in need of a RAM upgrade and need a little advice. I only have 1 gig (2 512 mushkin pc3200 DDR 2-2-2 sticks) right now and I'd like to upgrade to 2 gigs. I've been told that running 4 sticks at once can slow you down. Any truth to that? Would it be best to just get 2 new 1 gig...

the discounts ends on july 5th. I believe this discount only makes a big difference if you are buying the higher end models, like SUVs or trucks. It doesn't help much for the lower end cars that start out below 20k.

I got my replacement yesterday. It seems to have no problems so far. It's a may2005 Rev A02. Sounds to me like Dell has wasted a lot of money on these ;) They forgot to include a return label. What the heck am I supposed to do without one?? Guess I have to call them again.

I like how when you select monitors on the phone menu for dell, later on while you are waiting it will say if you aren't calling for a dimension to hang up and call again. . I think they don't want to talk to me.

I wouldn't accept any dead pixles. trying to get the right dell person on the phone is nearly impossible. They keep transferring me and hanging up. The online chat doesnt work on my home computer and at work it kept disconnectiong as well.

I really wonder what the percentage is of bad monitors. It seems to be pretty high.

It seems like a large amount of people have issues with this monitor. I tried to get Dell on the phone last night but kept getting transferred to the wrong department. I'm now trying their online chat support and I've been waiting for about 5 minutes for the guy to pull up my account...

anyone know what the minimum dead pixels that dell will accept for a return? I have 2 bad pixels and they really bother me.
