F8 seemed to fix my XFi problem as well, though with F7, rebooting usually fixes it. It's maybe once every 10-12 reboots that it disappears with the F7. I have (had) the same problem with the CMOS reset jumper, it's covered by my video card. When I tried 485x6, the computer beeped and...

F9 bios report: same cold boot issue as with F8. Also previously Orthos stable 460x7 became unstable until I bumped up the core voltage by 0.0125V. Oh well, back to F7 for me.

No, for a lot of people overclocking is simply about pushing the limits of the hardware to see how far it can go. Although I love a great deal and price/performance ratio, it's not necessarily about "free" extra performance.
