Well, I thought it did'nt matter what both of u were doing as I have read & been told that switch's divide up the speed pretty well & u would'nt notice any speed difference. Our ADSL is 512k (download) 128k (upload), even if it did divide it between us it still would...
I just went out & brought a NetGear 5-port switch (FS105) & now me & my brother have our PC's networked together & are sharing my ADSL modem connection.
I have the Switch there with a RJ-45 cord going from each of our network cards into the Switch & also plugged my ADSL modem into the switch...

1. Does this card with the new driver release do true 5.1 sound with games, music, dvd's & everything or does it just do virtual 5.1?

Ok...I "should" be getting my Midiland 8200's tommorrow & at the moment I have both leads plugged into my sound card from my DVD drive. (I have a analog one going to cd-in & a digital one going to sp-dif).

When I play DVD's I don't get very good sound, when I play like movie trailers I get very good sound, but when I play DVD's I always have to turn the volume way up to get reasonable sound & the quality lacks too.
