I had a ESS Solo-1 sound chip (onboard) on my computer and now it won't work. It cannot detect the chip anymore. I did not do anything to the Bios, or any jumpers on my motherboard (Actually, the jumper on my motherboard says it's enabled), The little speaker that is in the taskman now does...
I finally got my Voodoo 5 5500 PCI working, but after I got it to work, I lost my sound. It is an onboard soundcard. The drivers somehow were removed after I put in the voodoo 5 and now it doesn't detect the sound chip anymore. Does anyone know how this happened and how to fix it?
