    v-core is the cpu voltage. Try setting it at 1.55 initially and perhaps lower it as far as possible when you have found your OC. Don't think you have to be concerned with chipset voltage... Good tests to check for stability is Prime95 and memtest86, use them as described in Zebo's guide...

    Well, thanks for your opinions. The way that little bastard rattles and hums at 8k I would probably risk frying the board anyway. I have considered aftermarket coolers but I doubt anything will fit under the NV-5 cooler of my 6800gt. Anyway, this is unacceptable by Asus. It really anoyes me...

    Loud a8n-sli Chipset fan

    The chipset fan is by far the loudest component in my rig, actually alot louder than a 6800gt with stock cooling! So to keep me from going insane I hooked it up to a fan speed controler and brought it down from 8k to 4k. The "system" temp in nTune has gone up by 4-5 degrees to the low 40's...

    I have tried tighter timings for my RAM with little success. If i lower either of the first two (cant remember the names) down to 2, the computer fails to boot and I have to reset the CMOS (or whatever that pin thingy is called). But I'll try your suggested timings when I get home from work...
