ok i need a lil more help... i did a newegg search on the fortron power supplies, and i see most of them say they are pci express, and i have an old agp board... the ones that arent pci they say some other mumbo jumbo and i have no idea what all those numbers mean, none say anything about agp...

well I messaged newegg again, got it all straightened out, so good to go :) I just pray I dont have the problems with the card that some of you have...

your right, they sent me n387, not n397, and tried to tell me it was my fault, that I ordered the wrong thing, when n387 isnt even listed on their site for sale! My sales reciept clearly shows that I ordered the n397. **** them, I dont think ill ever order from newegg again.

I forgot to mention, I also have 2 160gb maxtor hard drives. I am guessing im gonna need something with lots of oomph. Would that fortron power supply still work well for me?

bought it from newegg for 225, free shipping, and the package I got doesnt say co edition anywhere on it. I am guessing co means overclocked? The site advertizes it as running at 400mhz and 1100mhz for the memory, normal speed for a 6800gs is 350 and 1000 so I am guessing this should be...

hm...ok well didnt someone say that the regular 6600 with 256 mb runs at about the same speed as the 6600GT with 128? If this is true then wouldnt it make more sense to just go with the regular 6600 since its cheaper?

why do u say not to bother with 256mb? Big price hike or something?

oh! n one last thing, I have an asus motherboard with a 3.2ghz p4, 2 gigs of samsung ddr ram, 2 160mb maxtor harddrives, 1 dvdrw dual layer burner, a soundblaster audigy z2 or something liek that sound card, a GeForce 4000 with 64mb, and a video capture card. I think that sums up the goodies...

well, im going to try to go with a 256 mb card if at all possible, I really dont want to go 128 if I dont have to. Looks like I may have to spend a bit more than I had planned, but as long as I get a quality product, then I dont mind.
